New series of MIDI Grande controllers
After many months of development and collecting feedback from users, we present a new series of MIDI footswitch controllers for musical gear MIDI Grande with blue backlight and with 5 to 12 footswitches.
The development of these MIDI controllers began in 2010. Mainly guitarists, bassists, eventually keyboardists use it for controlling their gear, especially in live performances, not only in the Czechia and Slovak Republic, but also abroad, eg. in Germany, Finland, Netherlands. It became popular among Kemper Profiling Amplifier users through a function for displaying the results of a tunner. Among the kemperists, eg. the best Czech guitarist Radim Hladik (Blue Effect) uses our MIDI Grande controller.
The previous series from 2013 offered variants of 6, 7 and 8 footswitches. We extended our offer in both directions, and now there are models with 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 footswitches available.
Now we offer this controller in completely innovated form with blue backlight, seven special illuminated buttons and an attractive design.
But it is not only the design and control interface having undergone innovation. We expanded the configuration options of the controller to be even more versatile and convenient to use for any musical equipment which is controllable via MIDI.
Unlike previous versions, it is possible to set each footswitch to a Program or Stompbox mode. For example - see picture on the right (detailed explanation is in the product description).
Another major change took place in increased accuracy of expression pedals using a sensitive calibration. Expression pedal position is indicated by a continuously changing colors of inscriptions Exp A, respectively Exp B from blue to red. Expression pedal value also can be set in any range at each preset, e.g. from 30 to 100.
By introducing an automated manufacture using our own CNC milling machine, the manufacturing process is much more efficient now. As a result, we were able to keep prices at almost the same level compared to the previous model range, even at the higher cost of components that have been added (backlight, seven control buttons, preamplifier of expression pedals etc.). Newly we also use comaxite spraying of the boxes (powder coating), which is the technology used eg. in the automotive industry.
And yet another innovation. MIDI Grande now can display results from tuner of guitar multi-effect G-Major. For displaying the tuner, whether from Kemper or G-Major, a MIDI controller with multi-effect has to be connected in both directions, thus using two MIDI cables.
As with all other products, even with those MIDI controllers, we can each piece to custom adjust and adapt to the needs of every musician.
Detailed information about these MIDI controllers and a description of the various models are on the product page MIDI Grande.
